For five weeks the ministries and worship services will be focusing on 'Hope' as the anchor to our faith in Jesus! Children, Students and Adults will focus on the same Scripture from Ephesians for these five weeks. What an exciting time for our church!

Hope is blessed to have many expressions of faith and many ways of following Jesus. It is good to affirm our Oneness in Christ and be united by God's Word in Ephesians. This will energize and inspire the mission and ministry of Hope.

1. Five key elements for these five weeks...

• Worship! While both the Traditional and Modern Worship have their own styles and music, we will all be focused and reflecting on the same Scripture from Ephesians.

• Small Groups! Jesus had a small group of twelve that would change the world. Our small groups will engage in faith conversation around the Ephesians scripture shared in worship.

• Children's/Student Ministry! Our children and our students will also be engaged with Champions of Hope in their gathering and learning.

• Fellowship! Koininia is the Greek word for fellowship. The early church was built around koinonia. We begin with a salute to Martin Luther and our Lutheran heritage with Beer n' Brats on October 19th and conclude on Sunday, November 16th for an All-Church Celebration "Pizza Party" at Noon. In-between we have the Halloween Spooktacular on Oct. 25th, the Legacy of Hope gatherings on Nov. 1/2 and a booth at the Palm Springs Pride parade on Nov. 8/9.

• Generosity! Your time, talent, and treasure all contribute to Hope Lutheran Church being a church movement. When there is movement, there is energy, and when there is energy the Spirit of God is unleashed!
